patient virtual participation groupMaking Services Better: Your Views
Haverfield Surgery is committed to improving the services we provide to our patients. To do this, we would like to be able to contact people occasionally to ask them questions about the surgery, and how well we are doing to identify areas for improvement.
If you are happy for us to contact you periodically by email please complete the downloadable form and hand this back to reception. Download Sign up Form
Alternatively please complete the online questionnaire - Signing up for Patient Virtual Participation Group
Or simply email kirstiford@nhs.net and express your wish to sign up and your details will be added to our contact list.
By expressing your interest, you will be helping us to plan ways of involving patients that suit you. It will also mean we can keep you informed of opportunities to give your views and up to date with developments within the practice.
Common patient questions and answers
Q. What is a virtual group?
This is a group who do not need to commit time to attend meetings, but will participate via email to very short surveys or questions and therefore be able to influence how we work together.
Q. How much time will this take?
We are planning to only send a short survey once a year and possibly ask for your views on any comments/suggestions received once or twice a year. These should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Q. Will you send lots of other information?
No we will only use your email address for the survey or questions.
Q. Will you ask me personal or medical questions?
No we will only ask general questions about the practice.
Q. I don’t visit the surgery very often, can I still participate?
That’s fine, as a patient your views and opinions are important and we want to make sure that we work with you and reach as many patients as possible.
Q. How do I volunteer?
Complete the form asking for your email details and you will be added to the Virtual Group.
Q. Can I opt out at any time?
Yes you can. Please email kirstiford@nhs.net say that you wish to remove your name from the group. This will be done immediately.
Q. What’s in it for me?
We would like to get a sufficient amount of patients joining this group so we can obtain views from a wide range of ages, and medical conditions and listen to what you as patients are saying and make changes if possible accordingly.
Q.Will my doctor see this information?
The information asked is purely to contact patients to ask them questions about the surgery, and to ensure if any changes are being made they are patient focused. If your doctor is responsible for making some of the changes in the surgery they will see anonymous suggestions.
